City earnest is for a text written with Christine Breton, published by many a contract in 2001, The slope. Christine Breton is a researcher and curator of the heritage in Marseille, she organizes group walks during which she reveals, walking and talking, some logical construction, use, appropriation and diversion of urban space. The Slope is written from the transcript of remarks made by him during a march of its kind focusing on the trail of passages borrowed by residents of a neighborhood in the hills north of Marseilles, through or below the traffic routes that have accumulated over time - train tracks, the tunnel mouth TGV, roads, highways. By connecting the center Outside the city, these areas are in the opposite logic of pedestrian movement in the direction of the slope. "Higher up the slope, steps carved into the hill leading to the mall and multiplex installed atop the former clay pit (...). They are used by the inhabitants of the islands and cities below , we see up and down sometimes laden with bags. A few steps from the summit, a highway lined with guardrails cut climbing stairs. There, go straight for the stairs, it crosses the tracks. "
